RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Founded in 2009, GridPocket started as an award-winning research project and since then it has always been in the DNA of the company. To this day, research and development are at the core of our growth strategy.

SECURITY FOR SMART GRID

defend

Defend

The main aim of the DEFeND project is to deliver an innovative data privacy governance platform, which will facilitate scoping and processing of data and data breach management and will support organisations towards GDPR compliance.
Project partners: Business-e, University of Brighton, Atos, Bird & Bird
Competences: GDPR, Data privacy and Security

c3isp

C3ISP

C3ISP mission is to define a collaborative and confidential information sharing, analysis and protection framework as a service for cyber security management. C3ISP innovation is the possibility to share information in a flexible and controllable manner inside a collaborative multi-domain environment to improve detection of cyber threats and response capabilities, still preserving the confidentiality of the shared information. C3ISP paradigm is collect, analyse, inform, and react.

Competences: Data security

smesec

SMESEC

SMESEC is a lightweight Cybersecurity framework for protecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) against Cyber threats. SMESEC will offer a framework that is based on up-to-date information about Cybersecurity facts and events. The SMESEC framework will allow a small company to build Cybersecurity itself, with little investment. The use of the SMESEC framework will make Cybersecurity accessible for companies and help mitigate cyber risks.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT, RENEWABLES AND ELECTRIC VEHICLES

dr-bob

Dr. BOB

Dr Bob aims at demonstrating the functionality of demand response in block of buildings. The objective is the creation of a solution called DR-BOB Demand Response energy management. Its key functionality is based on the real-time optimisation of the local energy production, consumption and storage. The optimisation can be adjusted to maximise economic profit or to minimise CO2 emissions. The solution can adapt to fluctuations in the energy demand or production, subject to dynamic price tariffs and changing weather conditions.
Partners: Siemens, Teesside University, CSTB, …
Competences: Big Data, IoT

grid_teams

Grid Teams

The project aimed at improving awareness of the participants on their electricity consumption using smart meters and on-line services. The project was realised in Cannes and financed by the Region PACA.
Partners: WIT, Planete Oui, Mines Paris Tech, Telecom Paris Tech, Ville de Cannes
Competences: M2M, Energy management

emilie

Emilie

The SmartEE project targets energy savings up to 10% by influencing the building occupant's behaviour. The SmartEE system is made of:

  • Sensor sets that measure energy-related parameters
  • A data treatment module that converts raw data into indicators
  • A UI displaying dynamic energy efficiency indicators on all devices
  • A box allowing raw data acquisition and storage, as well as transmitting orders to actuators upon end-user demand

Partners: Région PACA, Winergia, Paul Héraud school in Gap
Competencies : Gamification, Energy efficiency

greenfeed

Greenfeed

The GREENFEED project proposes software and hardware interface solutions compatible with the exchange models defined and supported by GIREVE, for communication among the actors and the equipment involved in the electric-vehicle ecosystem.
Partners: BE Nomad, Ecole de Mines, Enedis, Vulog…
Competences: Communication with EV charging stations and EV user interface

AI FOR SMART GRID

openrj

OpeNRJ

OpeNRJ is a platform of Open Data on public buildings energy consumption. Conceived inside the PACAlabs, the platform engages several actors to diffuse their energy consumption publicly and freely.
Partners: CSTB, Région PACA, WIT, CCI Nice
Competences: Energy data in Open source

bigfoot

Big Foot

Big Foot is an Open-source project that enables easy consolidation of big data within existing information systems. Thanks to Big Foot Data scientists can enjoy access to shared private cloud resources without big investments. BigFoot aims at creating a Platform-as-a-service stack featuring automatic and self-tuned deployment of storage and processing services for private clouds. In addition, BigFoot aims at simplifying data interaction by supporting high-level languages and by supporting and optimizing latency sensitive queries.
